Sometimes when there's nothing to do I try to find some things to do. I come up with a whole lot of ideas - each seemingly interesting but then something crazy will happen like somebody appearing at the door (and yes, that's crazy when you're not expecting it while sitting in your pink velvet pjs singing along to Meredith Brooks at the top of your lungs) and then I'll think all those awesome world-changing ideas suddenly aren't all that.
This is why I'm not famous yet. I had the whole idea of writing an album with songs that had sad and pathetic lyrics like Adele that would make you hate your existence and wish you were the dude inside the green Tellytubby because imagine that as a day job! Okay, just picture this - you get to wear the green Tellytubby suit (and admit it you always wanted to know what it would feel like to be in one of those things) and you run around like a moron doing moronic things and you get paid for it! What more could you possibly want from life?
Often when I was studying for exams and my younger sister would be watching the stupid show, I'd go in a trance cause the Tellytubbies suck you in and they don't let you go till the show actually ends. This is when I started wondering how much the dudes inside the 'tubbies get paid for doing this...
Anyway, got a bit off topic there sorry. Are you still with me? Good. So the reason I'm writing this after God knows how many months is because this was my bright idea for the day. I thought to myself; hey I'm done with work and I've watched every youtube video about Duffy I could find (including one titled Man vs. Swan which was highly recommended by a co-worker..which obviously was not related to Duffy ahem) so why not blog? So here's a blog post for the sake of blogging because I don't really have anything to post about - just the random thoughts in my head. I feel a bit like Holden now. Actually if I were to write a book, it would be a lot like The Catcher In The Rye. Don't get me wrong; I'm not trying to say I can write a classic. Just saying how on earth did THAT become a classic? I do love Holden and the first half of the book but the rant is just annoying after a while isn't it? this person is talking constantly without making any sense that reading it becomes a major pain in the ass and you want to put it down but you just can't wondering what the fuck will happen to this kid in the end? Aaah, I should take a hint then. Later.

haha. Enjoyed that rant! And Holden became a classic because his book negated all the fairy tale bullshit ideas americans had at that time about the "American Dream". you know, the perfect family, obedient children, awesome wife, no drugs nothing. He sort of portrayed what being a teenager was really like. And it gained popularity because it was insanely controversial. But I loved that book right till the end.
ReplyDeleteAnd this blog post was very much necessary! I missed you. Stay regular chamia :D
